Lime Treatments
Soil pH is Important!
Soil pH testing is an important, but often overlooked aspect of a lawn care program. Did you know that acid in the soil can stand between you and a healthy lawn. If your soil pH is too low, it will hamper growth. Applying lime neutralizes the soil acidity, allowing grass and plants to grow. Also, lime helps the soil and allows the grass to efficiently use the provided nutrients from the fertilizers provided from your lawn care wellness program.
We’ll Improve Your Soil pH Level
Soil pH is expressed as a number to the nearest tenth of a point. Optimal soil pH is between 6.8 and 6.9, which is considered slightly acidic. When your soil pH is in that range, it will most efficiently use the food we are giving it and look its best. A soil pH reading of 7.0 is neutral. If it is above 7.0, the soil is considered alkaline.
